Kenneth Cockrill

President and Chief Executive Officer

Ken Cockrill brings over 25 years of experience in the construction, environmental, and equipment rental industries to his role as President and CEO of WaterFleet. Before joining WaterFleet, Ken held senior leadership positions at BakerCorp, United Rentals, and Durante Rentals, where he was pivotal in driving operational excellence and expanding service offerings. Ken’s deep expertise in managing large-scale operations and his strong business acumen make him a valuable leader as WaterFleet continues to innovate and grow its footprint across North America.

Ken earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Lamar University, and he is committed to advancing WaterFleet’s mission of providing safe, clean water solutions. Outside of work, Ken enjoys traveling, the occasional music festival and skiing and hiking in the mountains.

Alan R. Pyle

Founder and Executive Chairman

Mr. Pyle has served as the President and CEO of WaterFleet, LLC since its founding in 2014 and now transitions to the role of Executive Chairman. Alan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in both engineering expertise and business operations to the company.

Prior to WaterFleet, Alan spent most of his career as President and Engineering Lead for a design and manufacturing company with worldwide exposure. His capabilities in mechanical and electrical design, process development, programming and manufacturing process, combined with a business acumen, helped him develop the solutions incorporated into the WaterFleet platform, which he founded with his wife Allison in order to bring those solutions to market.

Mr. Pyle has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Texas A&M University. He has been married to his wife Allison for 35+ years. Together they have raised three children. The Pyles reside in San Antonio, TX.

Allison C. Pyle

Co-Founder, Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Pyle is the Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder of WaterFleet, LLC. She brings over three decades of experience in business operation, accounting and finance. Allison is one of five women awarded the 2019 “Woman Business Owner of the Year” Award from the National Association of Women Business Owners – San Antonio, one of the largest chapters in the US. This award honors women entrepreneurs who strive toward the highest levels of professionalism, exemplify leadership, are visionaries in their field, serve their community, deliver exceptional customer service, are pioneers of innovation, advocates for women’s business, and model employers.

Ms. Pyle earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Texas. She began her professional career as an auditor with the international accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand and obtained her CPA license in both Colorado and Texas in 1985. After leaving public accounting, she worked at a publicly traded financial institution, and then as Controller with a start-up organization, and USAA before leaving to assist in multiple family’s businesses. There, Allison oversaw the accounting and finance functions, financial data preparation and presentation, and financial policy development and implementation. Ms. Pyle has three grown children, and lives with her husband of 35 years in San Antonio, Texas.

Brad J. Murdock

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Murdock has more than 20 years of experience in sales & operations management. Prior to joining WaterFleet in 2016, Mr. Murdock worked for a major Caterpillar dealership where he served in several key leadership positions within sales, operations, and 6 Sigma where he holds a Master Black Belt certification. As Chief Operating Officer for WaterFleet, Mr. Murdock is applying his experiential knowledge in leading the rapidly growing operations team.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and resides with his wife and three children in Boerne, Texas.

Casey T. McDermand

Director of Business Development – Oil & Gas

Mr. McDermand has more than 10 years of experience in the services market, specializing in oil field and related surface rental products. During his career, Mr. McDermand has served in all facets of business, including service management, new facility development, marketing, and direct sales.

Mr. McDermand brings that strong experience to WaterFleet, along with a keen understanding of the needs of WaterFleet’s clients. Since 2015, he has provided leadership at WaterFleet in both the operations and sales areas.

Mr. McDermand has a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and resides in San Antonio, Texas.

Randy LaFaive

Director of Business Development – Construction & Industrial

Mr. LaFaive has more than 22 years of experience in both sales and operations management in construction as a contractor, supplier, and vendor. His construction experience spans through residential, commercial, and industrial. Before working in the EPC arena with AMECO (Fluor Subsidiary) he served as both sales and operations manager for a national equipment rental company (Neff/United) for 13 years. Mr. LaFaive brings a broad background with a focus on customer experience, growth, and driving new market segments for WaterFleet. Mr. LaFaive holds a bachelor’s degree from Winona State University and resides with his wife in Conroe, TX enjoying golf and their 3 fur babies.

John Barry

Director of Business Development – Utilities

Mr. Barry comes to WaterFleet with a wealth of wastewater treatment, industrial, municipal and irrigation experience that includes the leasing of mobile, modular and bypass wastewater treatment solutions.

As the Director of Utilities Business Development, Barry is developing the pathways for a business vertical that will offer purchase and lease plant programs as a cost effective alternative to traditional delivery methods. The business vertical will primarily focus on providing solutions for private utilities and residential developers.

Mr. Barry earned his BS degree in Industrial Technology / Business Administration from Western Illinois University. Mr. Barry resides in Tucson, AZ enjoys golf and spending time with his family.

Waldy Y. Lopez

Director of Compliance

With more than a decade of scientific and engineering practice as an Environmental Professional for a major municipal utility, Ms. Lopez acted as the Water Quality Specialist and Environmental Services Superintendent, creating success in multiple investigations, assessments and projects.

Ms. Lopez joined WaterFleet in 2016 and is the Director of Compliance. Applying past knowledge, skills and capability to the WaterFleet Compliance Department, she has successfully implemented a structure that promotes interdependence and OneTeam cooperation among WaterFleet’s command and control centers, operations and technical services teams, and our customers and regulators, ensuring successful compliance with legal and ethical guidelines for water treatment and distribution.

Ms. Lopez has a B.S. in Science from the University of Zulia, a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, as well as significant credits in the Ecology Ph.D program at The Venezuela Institute for Science Research (IVIC). Waldy resides with her husband and daughter in San Antonio.

Matt Herschell, M.Ed, COSS

Director of Human Resources and Health, Safety & Environment

Mr. Herschell has been involved in QHSE compliance management for over 20 years. Before joining WaterFleet he served as the Director of HR & HSE for a major precast concrete manufacturing and construction firm, and then worked for several years as an HSE Consultant in the Oil & Gas industry. Mr. Herschell specializes in HSE program enhancement & implementation, instructional design, and organizational development. In addition to directing both the HR and HSE Departments, Mr. Herschell oversees WaterFleet’s Training & Development Group. He is most fulfilled by the opportunity to provide leadership to WaterFleet’s dedicated workforce as they expand their professional knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Mr. Herschell received his master’s degree in Human Resources Development from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has been married to Dr. Heather Herschell for over 14 years. They have two children and live near both of their families in San Antonio, TX.

Sean A. Katz

Director of Business Development – Special Operations

Mr. Katz has been a WaterFleeter since 2014, bringing an extensive background and technical expertise acquired through his experience in the Railroad and Oil & Gas service industries. Mr. Katz oversees WaterFleet’s specialized response group that responds to natural disaster events such as hurricane recovery and firefighter camps. In addition, Katz uses his extensive technical experience in this sector to solve water supply problems for critical facilities affected by events such as boil water notices and no-water supply situations.

Mr. Katz resides in New Braunfels, TX and spends his free time fishing and spending time with his family.

Katelyn Waldrop

Controller

Ms. Waldrop has been a WaterFleeter since 2018, bringing an extensive background in accounting and financial reporting acquired through a cutting edge public broadcasting company.  Ms. Waldrop received her Master of Professional Accountancy and graduated with High Distinction from the University of Texas Permian Basin and obtained her Certified Public Accountant designation.

Ms. Waldrop leads a highly specialized accounting team which includes professionals responsible for the on-going financial health and wellbeing of WaterFleet. Ms. Waldrop resides in Floresville, TX and spends her free time gardening and maintaining her farm.

Jacob Michelson

Director of Operations – Construction & Industrial

Mr. Michelson joined WaterFleet in 2018, bringing Operations experience from service and manufacturing companies within Oil & Gas and Medical Technology industries. He held positions leading teams in field operations and asset management with significant focus on process improvement through the application of Lean & Six Sigma methodologies.

Mr. Michelson received his BA degree in Business Administration and Finance from Schreiner University. He grew up in San Antonio where he spent years heavily involved with the Boy Scouts of America and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He now resides in Boerne, TX with his wife and three daughters.

 

Juan Torres

Director of Operations – Oil & Gas

Juan Torres brings a wealth of experience spanning over nine years in the Oil & Gas industry. Starting his career with WaterFleet in 2018, Juan’s journey has been marked by steady advancement through key roles such as Systems Specialist, Field Service Supervisor, and Area Operations Manager. His technical proficiency and leadership skills have been instrumental in optimizing field operations and ensuring client satisfaction.

In his current role as Director of Operations, Juan continues to leverage his extensive industry knowledge to drive success and growth in our Oil & Gas division. His strategic mindset and commitment to excellence underscore his leadership, making him a key contributor to the organization’s continued success.

Based in San Antonio with his wife, Bianca, and three children, Juan is not only a dedicated professional but also a committed family man who finds joy in outdoor activities with his loved ones.

David W. Meyers

Director of Business Intelligence

Mr. Meyers has been with WaterFleet since 2016 and is currently the Director of Business Intelligence. Prior to joining WaterFleet, Mr. Meyers worked in the consulting sector assisting energy producers with emission reduction programs, greenhouse gas data modeling and production process flow improvement. Mr. Meyers interacted with all levels of energy sector leadership including C-Suite, Engineering and IT teams. As Director of Business Intelligence, Mr. Meyers is responsible for WaterFleet’s Digital Strategy where he is applying his passions in both water and technology to develop and implement innovative digital solutions that empower WaterFleet’s service and technologies. 

David holds a B.A. In Natural Resources and Finance from Sewanee: The University of the South and currently resides with his wife in San Antonio, TX. He is actively involved with local nonprofits and has been a board member of the San Antonio Botanical Gardens since 2018.
